A major warehousing and distribution facility needed help to improve efficiency while reducing worker fatigue and injury during the handling of palletized loads. A custom designed pallet inverter from Bushman's West Bend Division provided the solution.
The inverter has a capacity of 3,000 pounds. With a maximum stack height of over nine feet, it can accommodate very large loads.
The inverter must clamp the pallet and invert it 180 degrees. The clamping is accomplished by a hydraulic cylinder. A special mast-type clamp permits the machine to clamp loads of different heights. The clamp mechanism is a dual platen clamp, which enables both platforms to move to clamp the load more securely.
The clamping pressure is controlled by the operator who determines when the desired pressure has been attained.
The addition of the inverter has simplified a time consuming process and increased worker safety and productivity.
