OVERVIEW:
A global petrochemical manufacturer was looking at expanding production by adding additional Super Sack machines with 1 & 2 ton capacity motorized trolley electric chain hoists. The hoists required a special headroom dimension of 14.25” or less.

SOLUTION:
R&M provided its LoadMate® Electric Chain Hoist with a low headroom trolley. R&M met the specification with a headroom dimension of 11.97” on the 1 ton units and 14.21” on the 2 ton units. The 2-speed hoists and trolleys provided on this project contained all of the standard features of the basic LoadMate® electric chain hoist. These features include a combined mechanical over travel / over load and motor brake, a 5 pocket load sprocket, prime coat & epoxy paint (80 micron thickness), electro-zinc plated load chain, up and down electrical limit switches, emergency mushroom stop button wired to a main line contactor, plug-in connection for control pendant, trolley brake, energy absorbing bumpers and drop lugs.

WRAP UP:
The R&M LoadMate® Electric Chain Hoist with the low headroom motorized trolley provided the customer the headroom needed and ability to use the money saved on the hoists to purchase additional Super Sack machines. The customer’s realized value with the LoadMate® electric chain hoists helped maximize productivity by purchasing more equipment.
