Telescoping Bridge Helps Overcome Spacing Issues Work Station Crane w/Telescoping Bridge with Chain Hoist helps overcome spacing issues for a supplier of machined components. “The telescoping WSC allowed us to maximize our available space while keeping the work area free of obstructions”. Machining operations occur in order across three different CNC machines, located side by side, arranged in a line. Operators are required to take a blank out of dunnage, perform a brief machining operation on a workbench in front of them and then load the blank into a CNC machine. The machined part is then unload and placed into finished dunnage and moved to the next process in the line if needed.

They needed a system for their fragile application and have the flexibility to change or add to it as need in the field.
 
Hybrid System Used In Place of Conventional Enclosed Track Industry: Manufacturer of Gears and Gear Cutting Machinery for the Auto Industry. Application: Large, heavy machined parts are brought in on pallets to have tolerances measured. Parts are picked from the pallet, moved to the testing machine, and once testing is complete moved back to the pallet and on to the next operation. Several Stations perform similar processed very close to each other.
 
Work Station Crane Helps Protect Product And Workers In Fabricated Stone Industry A Free Standing Work Station Bridge Crane with a 1000# aluminum bridge and chain hoist was installed for a Manufacturer of Fabricated Stone Products. The Application was that large stones slabs are loaded and unloaded by hand or with fork trucks. Both methods caused problems with space, safety, and productivity. Not to mention the stress caused by the fact that the slabs are hand picked by the customer and any damage to the slab would be a very costly and time-consuming mistake. The crane system has helped to recruit and retain good employees by allowing them to work in a safe environment.
 
Demag Ergonomic Crane Systems for Airport Baggage Handling In 1990, 275,000 passengers passed through the Leipzig/Hall Airport in Germany, by 1995 that number had grown to 2 million and today more than 4.5 million passengers per year utilize this hub. A DEMAG ALU Enclosed Track Single Girder Crane with a High Speed Rocker Switch style hoist was installed along the sides of a 75’ long oval conveyer belt. The 13’ lightweight Aluminum Crane Girders allow the bags to be moved from conveyer to cart with minimum effort.

We created an automatic monorail system that increased productivity and reduced costly mixing errors. The system was originally handled by individual monorail systems with an operator required for each system. By automating the system they required only one operator to run the main switch center safely and comfortably.

Monorail System in Waste Water Treatment Plants Waste water treatment facilities are extremely demanding on their equipment resulting in a real mess if the equipment is down for an extended period of time. The Demag KBK Internal Busbar track offered the perfect solution. The location of the loading dock made it difficult to unload the two ton pumps from the service trucks. In addition, the available space made it impossible to remove, negotiate and enter the equipment repair room with a fork truck. The Demag KBK overhead monorail extended over the service truck and in conjunction with the 2 speed Demag chain hoist made it easy to position the unit over the load and drive it to one of four repair benches.

The company wanted a lift assist systems that would allow 2 works per shift to build 20 pallets (240 cases) per worker hour in a work cell measuring 100’ x 40’.
