Order Fulfillment Council (OFC) members are the
Industry’s leading suppliers of order selection, staging and storage equipment and
systems. They supply equipment and systems worldwide and in virtually every major
manufacturing and distribution sector.
What is Order Fulfillment?
When managing industrial facilities, companies aim to
reduce costs in two major operations—maintaining inventory and filling orders. This
process involves a variety of equipment and systems that help optimize not only
facility layout, but also the movement of material and orders throughout the facility
during the fulfillment process. This includes a variety of equipment and systems that
include conveyors, racks, storage equipment, pallets, containers, order picking,
automatic identification and information technology solutions. These components can
either be combined into solution systems or act independently.
